He Did It!!!

I'm more than overjoyed to announce that my baby FINALLY drinks from a bottle! I'm not sure why or what happened but he just decided that he liked it. The first 10 months of his life he would not, well I guess I didn't try until the 5th or 6th month. I know that is late but I had my reasons and I paid for it. Well, he is taking a bottle 3 times a day and we have been weaning the nursing all week. It is sad to a degree, but his sleeping habits were just horrible and I didn't think they would get any better while he was still nursing.

So we've made great strides already. He screams when I lay him for a nap and then walk out of the room and would stand in his crib for hours if I didn't go lay him down and rub his back until he was asleep. Well, yesterday was the first day that he cried for 5 minutes and then actually layed himself down and went to sleep! He did the same for bedtime and did wake up a few times last night and put himself back to sleep once and Rob went in a couple of times to lay him down. I think when I go in his room he just wants to nurse so Rob took one for the team and got up with him. He was pretty worked up at 3ish when I normally feed him but he did go back to sleep! SO no more night feedings and I think he'll be sleeping through the night in the next couple of weeks for sure!!!!

This is so great as I was just completely exhausted from waking with him anywhere from 2-8 times in the night. We got into some bad habits when we moved and he was adjusting but we are getting through that!!! YAY...I'm so excited about this you have no idea.
